The Barrie Public Library offers free programming to the public. In an effort to be accessible to our community, they have offered interpreting services for any event/workshop they host. In partnership with our CSS staff the library has pre-selected and booked an interpreter for several upcoming workshops. Should you be interested in attending any of the following workshops, please contact Deaf Access to confirm you will be going. *Deadline to RSVP is one week before the event date. If no community members have sent an RSVP for the event, the interpreter will be cancelled.

Topic: Gardening Program, Safe Practices for Senior’s
Garden safely by stretching and warming up, using ergonomic tools and how to reduce stress and strain on muscles and joints plus some gardening short cuts.

Location: Downtown Barrie Library – Angus Ross Room
Topic: Connecting with Family – Canadian & USA Genealogy
Join us and learn how to search for your Canadian Roots more successfully. Guests: Ontario Genealogy Society members who will give a short presentation, including what is held in their collection (in the Downtown Library), and Family History Centre members who will speak on what is in their collection. Staff will also give a short presentation on Canadian/USA resources online. Please bring information you may have about your family, to assist them in answering your questions. All adults welcome!
